Disease effect gone bonkers

Edit: I don't know if the effect was caused by getting a disease.

I'm playing Skyrim 1.5 and for some reason this effect started happening when outside after fighting wolves & bandits, and later giants. I noticed this effect after using Aura Whisper, but I don't know if that caused it or whether it was catching rockjoint as I don't know if I caught rockjoint before or after this effect happened (I fought bears when I went into the cave with Bolar's sword seeing whether it was an environment thing).

What I tried to get it to go away, that didn't work:

1. I tried using a cure disease potion

2. I tried a hawk feather

3. I tried the Shrine to Talos in Whiterun

4. I tried the "resurrect" console command on my character

5. I tried the "showracemenu" console command (that can get rid of ghost enchantment effects) without changing race

None of that works.

These things I tried did work until I went first person and it came back:

1. I tried the "showracemenu" console command and changed race (example Nord > Khajit) - known to mess other things up, but the effect disappeared.

2. I tried adding the "Beast Form" spell (Werewolf spell), and changing into a Werewolf. That got rid of the effect, but going into water started it back up (because I hadn't cured the disease).

The only thing that got rid of it was Cure disease and the Beast Form spell. I don't know if this issue was caused by 1.5 or not.

Edit: Cure Disease and Beast Form spell didn't get rid of it either, as soon as I go in water in first person it reappears.

Edit: Scratch that, as soon as I go first person it appears, water is not required.

I don't know what is causing it, and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I've had a couple similar problems in the past , so here goes.

I had an arrow stuck in my gut that every time I went to 3rd person it would appear (I ended up saving like that). So the first fix I would recommend is ... Drowning yourself. It sounds worse than it is but it fixed my arrow glitch from happening.

Save near a deep river (Riverwood) go under and let the game kill you then let it re load you ( I did 1st person if that doesn't work try 3rd)

If that doesn't work it may be the environmental effects glitch I had before. Were you in a cave/dungeon that had that effect recently? If so it is probably lingering. To fix it, leave the dungeon from the entrance not the secondary exit that caused it (so go back in the dungeon and leave it should fix. If it doesn't, go "Backwards" through the dungeon)

If you can't remember the dungeon (or if there even was one) let me know if it's still happening and I will look up the fort I got the glitch in to see if it will cancel your glitch out.

Just curious, do you have a prior save file that isn't glitched?

Good luck.

It isn't the same as the arrow glitch (that goes away permanently when you turn into a werewolf). The effect actually started outside, near Secunda's Kiss.

I do have an earlier save, but it is from several days ago.
