DLC+1.6 essentially add everything from the 'free design' we

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:51 am

Nothing earthshattering here, just an observation;

Not sure if others remember, but several months ago, a video surfaced showing a dozen of novel things that designer added to the game when they were given a week to express their creativity by working on whatever they wanted late last year...

The video showed things like bow and magic finishers, crossbows, vampire feeding animations, flying mounts, mounted combat... and all these things have gotten or are getting in the game in either 1.6 or the DLC according to the latest leaks.

The confirmation on the flying mounts is much thinner than for the rest, being based on things seen in an ini file, but still. Its clear we're getting all this stuff or very close to it now.

Im excited, cant wait

EDIT2: The Game Jam video in question here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGIgXeGC6Dg

EDIT: Heres the full feature list of things developed that week... OK maybe we're not getting EVERYTHING, but damn close.

The gamejam never had crossbows, and there are still more things from the gamejam to be added, like seasonal foilage.

Indeed.

Skyrim on release was great, but the amount of support and features Beth is adding compared to previous games in the series is staggering.

I for one look forward to both new patches and the DLC itself.

I think a lot will be added, although I doubt some will make it into the game, the fat giants just seem like more of a silly sugguestion than a serious one

Bethesda have been great with post launch support, not many companies just give things away for free these days, like how many companies would have just shoved mounted combat in with the DLC?

This. Although, I don't think anyone would have blamed beth for making mounted combat one of the new Dawnguard features, I would only be mad if they asked us to pay 5 bucks for ONLY mounted combat *cough* horse armour *cough*

Seasonal foliage is a big thing from the Game Jam that I want to see. It would a lot to make the game feel alive and to make the player feel the passage of time in-game.

i dont see a problem with getting things from there gamejam week thingy... it just means that any creativity by the desingers there maybe built upon and put into the game.
With that in mind im looking foward to future DLCs and patches, because who knows what they'll come up with.

plus watching that stuff while listening to that song is always good for your mood.

I want to see snow footprints, seasonal foliage and flow-based water shading more than anything.

Kill an Emperor Crab, make a home out of his shell... Two birds one Fus-Roh-Dah..

If they can build a whole set of estates, shops and morag-tong guilds out of one, i don't see why i cant.

I believe a lot of the content from the gamejam will be added to the game in the forseeable future. The seasonal foliage and footprints in the snow are things I want to see, as they improve the visuals. But, the biggest thing I want to see is the ability to build a custom house with a skeletal butler. I would have the skeleton butler as my follower, owning bandits and annoying villagers. The butler should also be able to talk.

The speculation is driving me crazy. Watched the Gamejam video five times in a row the fist day I found out about it. I don′t know it this is light at the end of a tunnel of just pure torture. I′d like too see almost everything from the gamejam, which will not happen most likely. Not for my PS3 anyways.

I'd very much like to see those flow-based water shaders. Seasonal foilage could also be cool, depending on how much extra work it requires to the exteriors (if it's completely automated it'd be super awesome). Also, spears as a new weapon type I'd welcome with open arms.

I'd really prefer the build your own home thing over most of that list....that is of course if its done right and you can build your home anywhere within reason, anyway you want.

I want my own little quiet cabin away from everyone where i can kick off my boots and enjoy some mead after a long day of helping and killing people :)
