DLC House?

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 11:51 am

So as we all know, in Oblivion, there were houses purchasable with MS Points. What I wanted to know is In the future will there be any plans for houses like those purchasable of Oblivion available in Skyrim? If there isn't should there be?

From what I hear/read Castle Volkihar becomes your home if you're a Volkihar Vampire Lord and Dawnguard's fort becomes your home if you side with them.

They haven't announced any other DLC houses.

There should not be.

Houses, just like weapons, armor, and horse armor, should not be stand alone DLC, but rather incorporated into the expansions Bethesda is doing.

i think there was a rumour that there would be 2 houses in dawnguard, but didnt state whether it meant the 2 castles or the castle for the side you choose and another house

To be honest I loved the purpose Housing DLC because they were amazing, specially Battlehorn Castle and Frostcrag Spire because of all the thought went into them and for like £1-2 I wasn't that bothered I had to pay for them due to how much use I got out of them.

We get a room in one of the 2 different castles to own in Dawnguard. Unless the old leader of the Dawnguard/Vampire Legion dies, and we instead just inherit the whole darn castle because we happen to be there when they die/because we're the Dragonborn.

Dawnguard and Vamipires each have their own house that has unique benefits then one another, Todd had announced that at E3... I'm sure they have plenty of suprises up their sleeves, They're just wait to finish and release...

I know that much but I'm just talking about a house by itself. Not an entire questline to go with it.

Exactly what I mean. I loved them, but I heavily preferred Frostcrag Spire. It was so awesome but I wish it had a little more to it.

I like player housing, however if they can integrate them into larger expansions, like they are in Dawnguard, where's it's not just a purchasable house for real world monies, then all the better.

I liked Frostag spire but...
I would rather them to be incorporated into big DLCs
such as a mansion in Morrowind

I loved the House DLCs. All unique and tailored for classes. Thought they were really cool. I honestly wouldn't mind them adding in Standalone Quests as well that would give cool rewards. Like, maybe a Boethiah Quest so I can get Goldbrand?
