DLC Idea (The Mojave Good Fight)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:44 am

You can probably guess what I'm about to say from the title alone... We need 3Dog in New Vegas.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Title: The Mojave Good Fight
Cost: 560 Microsoft Points / $7.99 USD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: After the events of Fallout 3 and the efforts of the Lone Wanderer of Vault 101 the situation in the Capital Wasteland progressed towards becoming a more stable community. By the year 2281 (The years in which Fallout: New Vegas takes place) there is much less of a need for the encouragement given by 3Dog via his radio broadcasts of the "Good Fight". When he gets word of the situation at the Hoover Dam he sets off to the Mojave Wasteland to set up shop in Freeside.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quests:
--------------------------QUEST START "Anything Goes"-----------------------
The player is prompted with a message upon installation of "The Mojave Good Fight" adressing a stranger in Freeside offering caps to any able bodied gun for hire. Upon arrival you are lead to one of the previously unused scenery buildings which has since been transformed into a enterable building with a sign outfront reading 'Galaxy News Radio Mojave Branch: Help Needed'. There you will meet 3Dog and he will give you the rundown of what's what. The fact of it is, 3Dog was unable to bring most of his broadcasting equipment on the Vertibird in which he traveled here in, and he needs replacements. So the player sets off to retrieve four unique quest items from various locations already in Fallout: New Vegas.

- Audio Input Chip -- Found on a dead Prospector in the "South Vegas Ruins."
- Solar Electric Battery -- Can be Purchased or stolen from the "Gibson Scrap Yard."
- Long Range Broadcast Module -- Found Inside Container at the "Toxic Dump Site."
- A-37 Satellite Dish -- Must be Looted off of Unique Super Mutant Master "Kelvin" at "Black Mountain."

-Rewarded With Leveled Caps and XP-
-Signal to GNR Found-

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you have completed the only quest this DLC has to offer the GNR signal will be picked up, playing our favorites from Fallout 3, well actually just everything from Fallout 3, as well 3Dog's famous radio show in which he will make comments on player's actions and report news ect. much like Mr. New Vegas does. I think it would be interesting to hear 3Dog's opinions on the Brotherhood of Steel vs the NCR. Anyway that's what I wanna see come out. I know it'd cost alot to get Erik Dellums' voice again, but I think it'd be worth it, simply for the radio itself.

I dislike fetch quests, but I'd do anything for my good music back! I've been trying to figure out how to play the music from Fallout 3 while I'm playing New Vegas. The stuff from New Vegas just svcks! :homestar:
