I'd say DM was fairly well balanced, for EW users you get the all mighty holorifle, gun users got the police pistol and the deadly automatic rifle. The close combat weapons were largely crafted and improvised tools.

I would say Lonesome Road is a mixture of guns, explosives, and melee. There may be one EW/ Unarmed weapon thrown in to please everyone.
