What's so great about it? I understand it's a sort of...phenomenon in the UK and stuff and pretty popular on these forums as well.

I don't get what's so great about it. I am trying to watch one of the episodes on YouTube. I searched and saw that 'The Eleventh Hour' is an episode that is good for people who haven't seen the series before. I don't see what's so good about it so far...It doesn't sound too interesting, I mean I don't really get the plot either. But then again this is just one episode.

(I know that my username is Dalek, but believe it or not I came up without watching Doctor Who. )
