Does anyone know when Bethesda will release it's dlc for the continuing of Fallout? I'm really pissed that I had to stop playing after I beat it. And no, I won't restart over from the beginning, I just won't.

Yes, we know that they have announced that they are creating DLC. We do not know yet if it is going to expamd the ending though.

Before the game was released it was said that there is not going to be one. Seeing how Broken Steel turned out, i sincerely hope that's true.

I do know that the developers have said (over, and over, and over, and over) that no, there will not be a "play after the ending" DLC. No way, no time, no how.

So in short- Never.

They say alot of stuff but when they see the figures of what Boken Steel brought in cash wise im sure something will be worked out. 3 was said to be the same way and after it was released no continuation was going to happen then BAM, we get news it will be. I beat FONV once, going through twice now and will MAYBE do a 3rd but with no expansion of the game i WONT buy any DLC cause IMO it wont be worth it to just add to the really short MQ and if they fail with the release of DLC i wont be buying the next game new if even used from gamestop so i can beat and return it in a day or two since they feel the shorter the better

SO the jist of it is people want money, they will do it eventually or they will risk a downside next release with fewer sales by far

What's the difference between exploring before you finish the main quest and after you finish the main quest?

Unless you just really, really want to go around exploring in that helmet.

The downsides to allowing players to continue after the ending far outweigh the advantages.

Could you explain what you mean? Why would adding DLC to the game that you complete after the ending make the game any longer than DLC you complete after the ending?

What I personally found pretty annoying is that when you for example, side with the Legion, there is no way to ever explore and free roam without these NCR assassin crews from hell blasting you down. The other way around, you're not safe in any Legion territory. Join Yes Man or House and every single person in the game wants you dead. (Well not all of them, but a lot.)

So I really think it would be better if you could actually play with the results of your actions. I would love to walk around in a Legion-owned Strip, The Fort under NCR control or the Securitrons rolling around the Mojave Outpost.

they have a choice

make it continue in a dlc
or
watch continue be modded in and then have to work thier dlc into that mod as EVERYONE who owns the game will have downloaded the mod.

i am officially betting my left testicle they will choose the former...any takers ?

that has mutated from eating too much radaway.

Seriously, this is why I am not in a hurry to finish up the main story yet. I am having fun doing the dozens of side quests in the game. From my character's perspective, he's got the 38 to himself...a couple hotties (one that like to get drunk often) and some body guard in his suite...he will go wherever he damn well pleases. Benny can stew in his suite for a while...I'm takin' veronica to the rad pack show.

I have recently taken up religion so that I can pray.

So that I can pray that they DO NOT create DLC that allows us to continue past the end.

I hope my prayers get answered.

I don't know or really care that much if they do make a DLC that allows continuation of play after the ending. However you are dead wrong in thinking everyone who owns the game will have any mod, no matter what it does. It would actually be a very small minority that does. First, far more people own the game for X-Box and PS3 than for PC and they are unable to mod the game. Second, believe it or not, only fraction of those who own the game on PC actually use mods. Even then, there are a some people who wouldn't want it. If such a mod were created I would be shocked if even 10% of the total players used it and that's being very generous.

Besides, devs do not ever work their content around modders. Its the other way around.
