1. Everyone on PC has it on Steam. Its a Steamworks game so its automatically tied to Steam.

2. Skyrim is single player. So having friends is pointless.

Which kinda makes me ask why did they release it on Steam. If it was multiplayer I could understand. I don`t need `friends` on steam or any of that guff. In fact people think they have `friends` on Steam when they actually don`t- anyway, Why couldn`t we just have it the normal way? Or at least make it optional?

Don`t like.

That's one reason I hate those "Does anyone..." or "Has anyone else..." questions. Skyrim broke several records on steam, and, in the release week, I think something like two hundred and fifty thousand people were playing the game.
As for the game being single player and having friends in it is pointless. I disagree, If you want to you can make skyrim a very social game, sharing with each other what they are doing in game and what you ave found, etc.
But back on topic, I don't have the game on PC.

I have a couple of buddies on Steam, that I got to know long before Steam even excisted. So yeah, I'd call them friends haha
There's always some game or the other, that we end up playing together...right now, it's Skyrim.
And becauset it's singleplayer, makes it much more fun to chat with them while in-game. In fact, I hate being interrupted by steam-chat, when I'm into some mp-game.
So from my point of view right now, Steam is a blessing.

Well actually, I have to admit is has been always that way for me, no issues whatsorever, I like Steam.

There are probably dozens of open Steam user groups for Skyrim. Just search in the Steam community.

there are more reasons to buy physical other then being a pirate (which is a very small % especially how some people make them be)

I love steam I love their networks and what they do for their own games and indie developers giving them a better chance of making money and as a online game site but I still stand AAA publishers should not use a 3rd party program to play their game whether it be MP or SP which doesn't include the ability to purchase through the said 3rd party program but I hate having steam integration when I have a physical copy in hand from any AAA publisher. EA did this with BF3 but they went over the top making two programs required to play. (origin & Battlelog)
