I can give a video too, but some people might be spoiled if I show it. But basically its like...a sort of surrounding "poof" around the monster's mesh, with hairs inbetween there that are see through. It looks really awesome in game....but I really don't know what technique is used to do it, and how it would be done in this game. I don't think it's any tessalation or anything...since it's done on consoles which I dont think support that...but I could be wrong?
Anyway does anyone know what technique is being used here or any idea on how it might be emulated? I'm thinking it's a scaled up version of the animals' mesh, with some sort of alpha texture inbetween...but it seems like it would be really taxing on the system because of the extra geometry...
