Does anyone not store anything?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:46 pm

I usually collect high level weapons, armors, smithing materials, ingredients (for an alchemy character) and gems.

So I think for this game, I'll just carry only what I need, sell all the other junk. Possibly use anise's cabin (non-respawning) for a few crafting related items, as it's got an enchanters table and an alchemy table.

Anyone else not bother with houses?

Using Anise's cabin makes me feel a bit morbid, Considering that i never paid for it & shot an arrow into her face for good measure.

I make do with one house & that's Breezhome, That's really all i need.

That's fine for nice law abiding characters, but my next one will be a savage murderer, bent on power.

In all fairness, anise is hardly a 'good' person.

I have never been the type to store things. Nor do I ever carry multiple weapon's, except 'realistic' amounts. For example my warrior has a sword, a shield and a bow. My assassin had a bow and a dagger, my mage either no weapons or just a sword. I also only ever have one set of armour (unless I picked it up to sell) As such, I have no need to store things.

Literally the only time I have was on my Dunmer playthrough where I was role-playing an artifact hunter who was searching Skyrim for Daedric artifacts. I stored each one in my home as I collected them. beyond that I have never bothered with houses at all.

I usually buy a house just in case I need to store something, but on my new playthrough im sticking to dual daggers/bow, I don't wear armor so I just have one set of clothes lol. I only pick up things that my character would. I.e pelts, small trinkets that enhance my general set of abilities. I don't even pick up gems :o

I've stored everything i've ever collected (a couple thousand pounds of odd stuff) in a chest at Bilegulch Mine. Just fast travel there whenever anything is required for a quest or because I want to change my loadout. It's actually a pretty convenient setup.

I collect and store lots of things. At my Breezehome. I have a container near the door for things I'll sell soon. Near the back, I have a container for all the misc items. The cupboard for the food. The chest in the alchemy room for all the books. The satchel at the alchemy table for all the ingredients. The cabinet at the top of the stairs for all the soul gems. The cabinet by the bedroom door for all my claws. The dresser for all my weapons. The chest next to the bed for all my armors. The night table next to it for all my extra potions.

So I have 3 containers I'm not using.

I use the free house glitch because I don't like to pay for a house.. I mean, I help out the townsfolk and city more than enough to earn myself a free house for some R&R.

I've split up my belongings for efficiency.

I keep my armor, weapons and smithing equipment in three different chests at the thieves guild.
And
I keep soul gems, silver necklaces/rings and clothes for enchanting + potions in my arch mage quarters at the college.

I also have some random souvenirs at the Dawnstar Sanctuary.

------------------

Some short lived characters of mine never stored anything, but it's rather hard not to when you have played a while.

I'm a hoarder. I like to have at least one of every item in the game. Thinking I may sometimes need it or possibly just use it. To which I never will but I do keep it "just in case"...

I have a weapon chest, an enchanted weapon chest, an armour drawer, an enchanted armour drawer, ect... I also have an alchemy drawer, a book drawer, and a potions drawer. I also have three Misc drawers too. One for Misc items that are unusable but collectables (like this family heirloom plate I was given), another for soul gems and crafting items like ores. And then another one for all other misc stuff (in other words a miscellaneous misc drawer). I also have a food barrel.

I just can't help it but collect everything for you never know when you might need it.

I usually play mages and so I only need a robe and I don't use any weapons so I don't need those either. I would probably only need an Alchemy drawer, Potion drawer and possibly a Staff and Robe drawer depending on how I role-play.
