does anyone remember this ?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 8:04 am

Hi ppl , I was wondering , I remember that back when the announced skyrim they said something about every race having theyre own armor ...I was wondering if anyone knows what has happened to this because the only armors tht could be considered race related in my opinion are elven , orc and maybe imperial...
If anyone knows if this is planned for a dlc or if it was just scrapped

They also said that snow will accumulate on actors, but as we all know that never happens in the game. There are probably several things they told to be in game which they however abandoned when they were forced to rush the release on 11/11/11.

Arrow Rarity?

Economy?

Let's be honest. I don't think anyone in this day and age can successfully program that. XD.

Actually, such a thing would be nightmarishly bugridden even if youbput all the time you could inyo it.

Sabotage made it into the game as well, as part of the thieves guild.

A lot of that was misconstrued.

You can alter the economy, albeit in laughable ways. If you kill Hod and Gerdur, prices in Riverwood increase. After killing those two vampires for the Dark Brotherhood, some prices (usually tavern prices) increase as well.

As for Arrow Rarity... I'm inclined to disagree with you there too, considering how many people cry about needing Arrow Fletching mods. I somehow doubt anyone expected Iron and Steel arrows to be rare.

Sabotage - Mill - Economy tanks - Less arrows - Arrow Rarity.

if the post above thinks Arrow rarity is an issue to program, you've not taken a glance at the CK at all have you ;p

I honestly doubt alikr and thalmor robes fit in the "race armor" category , these are more faction specific well I think (I dont know so much as most of you about lore) .the ancient nord armor thought makes sense .
I dont know much aboit programming but I dont think I wouldve been hard to add one more armor for every race maybe related to theyre higher skill for exemple since dunmers are more efficient in light armor in the beggining theyres would be a light armor ...anyways I find it to bad they scrapped tht idea I really liked it ..hopefully some will come in dlc or patches ...I mean its not game breaking but it is disappointing
Anyways just my opinion
Btw sorry for any mistakes my English isnt great

Arrow rarity

 Maybe they meant "infinity". Currently i have 400+ ancient nord arrows, 150+ elven arrows, 100+ glass Arrows, 100 ebony arrows.

Though not a single daedric arrow.

When I don't need arrows I have loads of different kinds to choose from, as soon as I require an arrow though, all gone.

Typical.

In addition to the Ancient Nord Armor, the Steel Plate Armor is called "Nord Plate Armor" in the official concept art book for the game, so that's another set.

There is a lot of economy stuff in the game. Numerous quests allow you to increase a merchant's total available gold, and some of the speech perks do similar stuff. Not a huge factor but it is there.

I wonder if anyone has ever compiled the sweet little lies Bethesda tells us when hyping up games like Skyrim and Fallout 3.

"Lies" implies Bethesda discussed them with no intention of them being included. If a feature is cut that doesn't mean that they lied when they talked about it.

People actually did collect lists of developer comments concerning TES IV and FO3 and presented them as "developer lies." Developers no longer comment as often as they used to and they rarely talk about their games. Why would they when any comment risks a potential accusation if the feature is removed or people simply have a difference of opinion.

If people get excited about a feature and it doesn't end up in the game it's fine to be disappointed or to complain about that fact. However please don't accuse anyone of lying unless you have solid evidence that the comment was made with full knowledge that it was false.

race-specific armor would be nice, though a bit much to ask from bethesda

bring back the beast khajiit and argonians unable to wear standard armor and give them their own sets

like the firstguard argonian armor mod in morrowind

I can't find anything on Wiki other then the usual stuff  . Seeing how they are Thalmor supporters I would guess that they would wear elven(clothing&armor), but looking at them from a geographical point of view I would guess they would wear light clothing/robes, I usually put my Khajiit's in the Hammerfel stuff.
