I'm playing Skyrim on PS3 and was wondering if anyone had their spouse die then received a letter of inheritance from a courier. I have been looking around online and it seems that some say after you get this letter you can remarry, and others saying you can never remarry. It would seem that those people who say you can never remarry have not received the letter from the courier. Found a clip of a player getting the inheritance letter, so it seems that this does happen. Does anyone know if it happens on PS3?

I got an inheritance letter for Ysoldas death and I haven't married her nor anyone else, and I'm a dark elf so I doubt we are related any other way. Plus she seemed to die randomly for no apparent reason.

I remember helping out one of the farmers near Whiterun with harvesting his crops. After the battle during the civil war, I got his inheritance from a courier. That's the only time I've received an inheritance.

I got an inheritance from the guy preaching in front of the Talos shrine in whiterun. Apparently having a long conversation was enough to earn it. Ironic thing is, I'm also the one who killed him.

I remember someone posted something similar about a month ago. He received an inheritance from someone he was sure he never met. Turns out it was one of those vampires with a name living in a cave and killed by the same player!
