Made a warrior guy, I'm going to use light armor, sword and board.

However the light armor shields are much more rare than heavy shields, and they usually a) look crap and/pr are crap.

Wondering if using heavy shields impacts speed noticeably compared to light shields?

anyone knows this? using elven shield as a nord kind of svcks (glass looks horrible), and hide shield well...

Knowing that heavy armor impacts speed, and since shields are considered heavy armor in the apparel list (not a weapon), I would imagine that they do affect movement. I don't know for sure, however, and haven't tested it.

Not to any degree I've noticed.
