Does it make you feel bad when..

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 3:56 pm

As the title suggests.

Does it make you feel bad when you kill a Coyote Pup? The first time I found one was when I was wondering up a road and all I saw was the mother so I killed her before she attacked, but as I approached I found a lone pup in the back of a truck! Twas a sad day, still I had to kill the pup! :flamethrower:

Anything that you have done or do in the desert that makes you feel bad?

Once a pup has been orphaned, it will die shortly after. Another pack wont take in an outsider, so it will eventually starve, so rather then having the poor pup suffer, I feel it best to kill it.

That is how I look at it.

If it didn't attack I wouldn't have killed it. Same goes for Deathclaw pups.

Now what did stop me from killing was Bighorner calfs, believe it or not. I have nothing against shooting Bighorners to get their meat (I play on hardcoe mode - some of the best steaks in the game based on the effects it gives you). I blow away Bighorner bulls all the time. But one time I saw a loose couple of bighorners out just minding their own business and so I pulled out my Sniper Rifle to take a shot, when I saw their baby. I left them all alone. :sadvaultboy:

I felt real bad! Especially when I learned they don't always attack you... I've since become an Animal Friend :)

I shoot them for the experience. I'm not hungry for meat. I'm hungry for blood.

Aww, some touching stories coming up here. :) I have yet to kill any bighorns, tend to steer clear of them mostly.

Not at all. It would have made me feel bad to let it eat chunks of my leg, though. I always shoot them on sight, like I would if I was in the same situation in real life.

damn yes, even with animal friend perk they still appear as hostile, despite nightstalkers (a lot more vicious) appearing as friendly with the animal friend perk...

Absolutely not.
I went into the Coyote Den and what I found was not pleasant.
Those disgusting creatures needs to die, even if it's one that's one week old I'd stomp it to death.
I don't care how "cute" it might look, if it's eating people then it needs to die. (Unless it's a human who's eating people, cause that kind is kinda cute.)

I had to pick a fight with a dude that had a star cap neck-less, (I had to have it) since I didn't have the skill to talk it from him. I did feel bad about that a little.

Absolutely. The killing part of the adventure isn't my favorite part anyway. I always get Animal Friend, the sooner the better. Now the Geckos don't attack...the Fire Geckos still aren't friendly though but the Legion dogs don't care about me anymore. :)

I need to shot twice to kill a NCR Heavy trooper to loot her Salvage Power Armour, instead of a painless quick death.

I was going to try help the Legion. I did good, but I just can't help them so I stopped after the one and a half quest for Ceasar, they are so cruel, I actually felt bad :(

If it's aggressive, it has to die!

I had the bottle cap guy encounter, i wanted those cap's but could not do the speech check, every man for themselves! he had to die, especially after i previously heard several hours earlier from a conversation with another npc that a blue star cap collector was obbsessed with them, and also had murderous intentions, so i killed him :D

They won't let me into arena because i play a female character and their armor looks really bad on her :sadvaultboy: if you are you going to help them on your 2nd 3rd playthrough do it with a male character :gun:

Spoiler
I actually felt bad after killing Benny at Caesars camp. I had a chat with him asking how he wanted this to end, and he really seemed like nice guy all things considered. Then I killed him with a machete while he was sitting on his knees with his hands tied. It made me feel a bit sick.

That line of thought is always a mixed bag for me. If you kill it, it is dead. End of story. It's thought of s "humaane." However, is there really a zero chance for it to survive? Wouldn't it be better to at lest give it that small chance that it will make it than 100% kill it right off? I don't know.

I did a mercy killing on a slave that was crucified at Cottonwood Cove (Boone and I had massacred the Legion garrison stationed there via loooong range sniping). I couldn't cut her down without killing her, and leaving her up there didn't feel right, so I put her out of her misery. I actually felt pretty bad about that.

Another spot that I haven't done a mercy killing yet, but am considering it, is with the wounded NCR troopers outside Nelson. There's a field and there are three of them with severe wounds, rolling around, looking like they're begging for help. But there doesn't seem to be an option to save them? If I'm wrong, please let me know. Otherwise, I might risk taking the NCR rep hit (currently idolized as their most brilliant soldier), and snipe the poor bastards.

I killed an NCR trooper on a cross in Nelson by mistake and I got EXP for it but no bad rep. I was even with a group on NCR troopers?!
