Does Resist <firefrostshock> stack with Resist Magic

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:08 am

Two quick enchanting questions that five minutes of googling couldn't find definitive answers for:

1) Assuming for the moment there's a hard cap of 85% on both Resist Magic and Resist , if I have both 85% Resist Magic and 85% Resist Fire, do I take:

* 15% fire damage
* 15% * 15% = 2.25% fire damage
* 0% fire damage

.. and does anyone have a reference to where it was tested? (also the 85% resist cap, while we're at it; I see that bandied about a lot but never saw the actual testing)

2) Different enchants add different values to items (holding enchanting skill and soulstone type constant). Has anyone made a table of which enchants add the most value? (In other words, what enchant would make my enchanted items most valuable for resale?)

Thanks.

If you had 85% elemental and 85% magic, you would take 2.25% magic damage from an elemental spell.

I believe the most valuable enchantments are absorb health and paralyse. Also paralyse is the most useful when using the enchantment IMO, just using 1 second paralyse and 1 second soul trap/fiery soul trap will give you 300+ charges and the ability to kill anything due to paralyse, best with daggers.
