Does the moot to elect a High King happen?

I've finished the Stormcloak questline. Does this happen after a few weeks or something?

It doesn't actually happen, but Ulfric acts as high king anyways so it might as well happen.

No.
No matter what you do in the game, nothing (or very, very little) changes in the world.
A massive oversight and a sheer let-down.
I seriously expected better from Bethesda.
Literally all we have are guards that respond to you when they get triggered by one of your skill levels or apparel.

Spoiler
I assassinated the freaking Emperor
and it changed absolutely nothing. You'd think that would be a rather abrupt end to the war. :ermm:

It's a moot point, Ulfric will get it no matter what, at most it would be a flavor "cut scene".

See what I did there? I know, I know, witty.

They probably want to save a few story hooks for DLCs.

It's all fine and dandy that they are saving it for DLC. But it would have been nice to have SOMETHING happen afterwards. Ulfric or General Tullius say "There is still Stormcloak/Imperial scouts out there, if you come across them, I expect you to deal with them" or something along those lines.

I go try to wipe out an imperial camp. There is always one guy that can't be killed in each camp..

Meh. Not a flaw that bothers me too much but still.

I totally agree with you there! This was HUGE for me and there were NO repercussions, Tamriel was NOT plunged into chaos!

Well, I guess video games still have a long way to go, to really influence anything in their virtual world. TES games at least have a huge world, and amazing lore. Bethesda has taken a step into the right direction with their AI, although I'm sick of hearing the same thing from the guards over and over LOL

Let's hope that in 5 years, TES VI will be more advanced than its predecessors! LOL

(Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Skyrim and I'm totally addicted to it, like I was when Oblivion first came out). The one thing TES games do right, is the HUGE OPEN world and all the unique dungeons! Oh and the physics engine is great. Plus, they have an eye for detail. I love that I can pick up stuff and decorate my homes!

"I love to decorate my homes"

This is one thing about the TES series that I absolutely love for some reason, and one of the reasons I tend to play my higher levels characters even after completing everything. I would decorate my homes with gems, huge piles of gold, stacks of iron, steel, and other weapons, along with rare items, and go out and find caves and ruins to find more gold and things to store in my home.

One quick question if anyone knows the answer, I decorated my home in Solitude, put tons of gems in a bowl etc. Left and came back later, my stuff was EVERYWHERE, almost like someone had come in and jumped and walked over everything I placed. Has this been fixed?

If the moot does happen, it'll have to wait for DLC. Until then, my Dunmer Assassin is having some fun slaughtering every Thalmor Justicar that he meets. "Saviors of all Mer" my ass!!!

The Dunmer don't really go for that [censored]...
