I am level 42 and have imperial luck where i find more gold. But, i don't find much. Most draugr have 3-7 gold, urns have the same. Sometimes i open locked chests that have like 12. Offen it's 66

Why so little?

If you're looking for more money, you're better of running dungeons and cleaning them out - i.e., selling everything that drops. I usually leave Riverwood to go to Whiterun with a new character with about 7000-9000 gold, sometimes more.

My level 43 has 196,000 gold, and the other 3 each somewhere between 60,000 - 100,00.

I don't even sell stuff anymore. It was OK for the first one, learning the game and seeing how much money was to be made, but with my last 3 characters I get enough to buy some houses, and that's it.

PS: The amount you found is normal. There are one or two dungeons where there's between 75-150 gold in each urn, and 75-100 on dead bodies, but they're very rare.

Oh i find plenty of Stuff. Just not a lot of plain gold

My money maker is crafting potions from plentiful ingredients I pick up. No fast travel helps here. You don't need to spend any perks in alchemy or even plan on using the potions themselves... just make them for sale. Blue flowers+Blue Butterfly will net you thousands.

If your not interested in making the Dragonscale armor or w/e, just sell the bones/scales. Otherwise, Dragur Deathlords have ebony stuff which can be worth a bit.

i know what you mean. the only gold i get from not selling items is rewards for doing quests. i dont find a lot of gold in containers either.

I'm not sure what the actual % chance increase is. I would check the USEP to find out for sure. I want to say it's around 10%. Even if it was 25%, on Drauger that normally drop around 2 to 5 would only be an extra gold or two. It may just start the low end of the chance roll a little higher. Still it is not a whole lot at one time.
