I have the Steadfast Dwarven Sphere as a follower. I fast traveled back to the mainland to get something from my house and now, one of my adopted kids keeps opening dialogue with me but starting with "Need something?" and "There are monsters in the swamp". I gave her a gift, but she keeps talking to me and the dialogue options keep opening.

I believe there's a bug related to the Sphere being labeled a "pet". I think Lucia wants to keep it, like she wanted to keep my dog.
