But i find this one quite important for my kind of rp. When in taverns, houses etc i always walk instead of run. I don't really feel like im fitting in the rp if i run around like a headless chicken. But when i walk in taverns and such, it gives me the feeling that i am not missing anything in the story.
This is quite an in depth Role playing idea IMO. Role playing can be as extensive or limited as you want it to be. Like I have formal clothes and armor. I read books in a chair near a fireplace, not in the wilderness. I'm kinda sad
I avoid looting the torso armor and boots from the enemies I kill unless they have an enchantment I've been looking for. My character just isn't interested in carrying around a pair of stinky boots and a set of bloodstained armor that someone probably just voided their bowels in when they died.
I always walk when indoors in a civilized area, but usually run everywhere else. I also never sprint unless in combat or carrying less than 40 pounds of gear.
If the walking was not so darn slow, I would do more of it. However, my character is always Running, and in First Person, it works for me. It would be weird in 3rd.
The biggest RP rule I have that all of my characters follow is to never steal from someone who does not deserve it. For example, I will steal from the rich lazy nobles, but never the poor working folks. As Whoopie Goldberg said in Burglar, "It's not what you steal, but who you steal it from"

That's not sad at all! I do silly little things like that as well -- it adds flavor for the characters. I have a war priest and a treasure hunter that won't loot bodies.
One rule I won't break : would your character do this? What, actually eat a giant's toe? Not a chance.
Haha, yeah I do that too! Maybe if the toe nails were cleaned up a little..
I walk everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I might use my horse to run and get places but I try to play the game as it it was a tv show, and each play session is a glimpse into this world where I follow this guys day to day actions. So for me walking is always a must, though with the pc and console commands / mods I can make it so I walk faster so that helps.

Haha! It's good to see that someone else does what I do. As you said though, It adds flavor, and for me makes the game more interesting. I even do things like sleeping in different clothes...
Walking in the game definitely adds something! I walked all the way into and around an Orc stronghold and it was a very nice experience. Made sure I didn't have to pay any blood price.
