Grab Wild Wasteland trait if ya want some wackiness. The only reason as to why it is such a case in Fallout 3 is because Bethesda overdid the "wackiness" when trying to make Fallout 3 as close to Fallout 1 and 2 (there were some wackiness in term of random encounter and has many, many dark humor in those first 2 games).

I wish Obsidians writers and a better physics engine would come together and form a Prequel to FO3/NV.

Bring the glory days back..

dude I did this like five times and I get nothing totally humorous. A man and a woman crammed in a frig, with an Sauve Hat...I don't get the wacky out of that. Some dude sitting in a chair staring into the wells with a hand of Aces you can't pickup....no, the Wild Wasteland isn't pulling it off enough.

I suppose you REALLY have to know your games and movies to understand wild wasteland.
If you cannot figure out two simple references, then just don't use the wild wasteland trait.
I got tons of laughs out of it, maybe your not trying hard enough?

Are you asking me if I'm not trying hard enough or are you asking me if you got tons of laughs out of it...(Get it I'm asking while stating...lol there again?) ....I guess you're right if the Wild Wasteland humor is purely based off of other games and movies. Definitely movies, I hate movies...I just can't sit and watch most of 'em. I don't know how many uh....I guess...'Wild Wacky Wasteland Humorous Things' they have on the game...I only remember those two because after I'm done with an character (which occurs often) I start all over again, and they're right in the most rememberable and most often occurrences of the game.....the beginning. So smile :D and be happy(?) of my question that no one seems to answer. Idk, where's the craziness. <= Ahh! there again??

Somebody answered the mod one for me, that's cool that they do that. Just wondered about it......wait....where's the tigers too?! I didn't ask about pirates dude, screw cannons!! (j/k I know about Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and the word non-canon) The more I read on the Fallout Genre the more depressed I get...There where so many fail games since psone, Xbox, so one....what happened? Did Bethesda really improve the Fallout series?? Idk what's going on anymore....

:o I guess it does pay to know your games history. I never played Fallout 1 or 2 but I did see a PC player using the plasma caster in Fallout 3 as a mod. So I assumed it was one of the mods the devs put in from 3. Sorry bout the crap post up there. :cryvaultboy:

Don't be man, there's not judgment going on here. As long as your love and passion for the Fallout series is as strong as all of ours, technical errors are okay. If you actually dug up the pile of crap and learned about the Fallout series, it is crazy dude. Idk what is real, why did they sell to gamesas, and why were all of these awesome idealist games canceled?!?!?!?

In the end it sounds like a cover up, it sounds like a massive cluster (you know a whatta), and it just sounds awful.....But it's cool, not only can I not verify what you're saying is wrong (double negatives makes a what again..), but it must be true because that dude corrected you on the game title not the fact..so Good Job!! :foodndrink:

Bah. It didn't work. I took all of the party hats and reverse-pickpocketed them to random hatless people, but none of them would put it on.

Wasteland is srs bsns.

Wild Wasteland doesn't work for me. There, I said it.

I took the trait, and was severely unsatisfied. The most extroadinary thing that happened to me, was when a man came up to me screaming about the lottery. That's it.

to the people saying "get wild wasteland"

Oh yeah, like I'm giving up free SPECIAL points or free stat points (small frame + good natured) to get a total of like 3 unique encounters and them changing the mouseover name of giant rats... whoop de doo

Fallout has ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS had easter egg encounters. Special encounters like the holy hand grenade in FO2 and NV both, like the bridgekeeper, like the four horseman in fallout tictacs (war: I've changed a lot!), like the Cafe of broken dreams and the crashed federation shuttle and the guardian on the edge of forever.

FO:NV falls down there.

Why so serious, obsidian?
