I don't understand the Boetiah Quest

How am I supposed to fool somebody to the shrine and sacrifice them?

The part I can't do is to lure someone.

Your followers won't follow you there? Like a house-carl or a hireling - they should be able to just come with you normally.

You have to bring a companion there and then ask them to activate the pillar with the command function.

First of all, you must be level 30 to even start the quest. Second, you need to get a follower, and then have them travel to the shrine with you. Once there, talk to your follower and say, "I need you to do something." Then go to the Binding pole thingamajigger and click on it. It will then bind he or she against it. You should be given the Blade of sacrifice. Stab your follower with it, and Boethia will then speak with you.

Just find someone you dislike... like the elf from Riverwood.

When I found the Statue and saw the activation message I thought maybe you could sacrifice a hireling there.
I dont have the Quest though, do you need to get it somehwere ?
And since I already killed a Priest of Boetiah for Molag Bal, can I still get the one of Boetiah ?

Yes you can still do the quest, you might not be high enough level though (30). Just talking to one of the cultists there would start the quest

the quest line starts from either finding a book or a cult member. i found a cult member out in the roads somewhere and i got the quest after looting his body.

the purpose of this quest is to get rid of useless companions and get an ebony mail in return. lorewise, killing your companion doesnt make sense. and as a mage, lorewise, u'd heal ur companion when they were injured. succumbing to a cult and sacrificing them is an easy-out for things.

Just slay all the cultists, then you don't have to sacrifice a follower.

well my mage did it with pleasure, and used the body for death thrall afterwards
other people are merely a tool for her!

where is TES lore on not killing followers? wtf

well he appears (100% sure), and is displeased
but he still demands the sacrifice

Lorewise, it makes a lot of sense as Boethia is the daedric prince of murderous conspiracy, deceiet, and the like. The sacrifice demanded therefore makes sense and any mage evil enough to perform such a sacrifice but who still wanted the companion would have no qualms with turning them into a dead thrall. That you can not heal them and must let them die also makes sense since it would not be a fitting offering otherwise. Not requiring their death by allowing you to weasel your way out of the sacrifice would the cheap way of doing it.

In the wiki entry right before Frost Trolls; the one on Forum Trolls.
