Are card supposed to appear on your screen? Because when I tried to play Ringo, I didn't see a single card, so I had to chose to lose on purpose to leave the screen.

You have to try and match/go over each of the players cards. Say Ringo has a 7 and a 10 (don't know if suits matter, still trying to figure that crap out). That makes 17, I have to either match or go over that number. You can play a Joker to immediately break the "Caravan" of cards they've built up, or do the former. Aces always count as 1, but can be played when its your turn to make a "Caravan".

The whole point of the game is basically trying to break up the other players' Caravan of cards. When they run out (or you) they lose (or you lose).

That's what I've gotten from sort of studying the game so far.

Pretty much what I've understood is that it's like a fusion of poker and blackjack with some random weird rules I don't care to commit to memory(Looking at you, jokers and queens).

Basically, there are the three towns, or columns you can put cards in. The point is to get to having two of those stacks adding up to a number between 22 and 26 before your opponent does, and if either of you has, say, a 22 in a column and the other player bumps up to 23, they're currently winning that column, meaning it counts towards them having 2 "contracts" instead of counting for you.

Number cards have there face value, kings can be placed aside a number card to double it's value(Most valuable card in my decks at least) Jacks remove the card you put 'em on fromplay, occasionally more than that, not entirely sure how that works, and queens and jokers,I've read the rules but I don't care enough to memorize all the different things they do.

Also, on every stack of cards, the cards either have to be going in an ascending or descending order, or you can put cards of the same suit on that stack as long as it's not the same number. (basically, say you start with a 5 in one stack, and you put an 8 on it. From then on you'd have to put something greater than 8 and continue going up, or put a card of the same suit as said 8 on top as long as it isn't another 7)

This is all "More or less" correct as far as I can tell, other than some weird cases where sometimes I think I should've won but the game keeps going. Usually if this happens I try to get the stack closer to 26 or throw some jacks at my opponents cards to lower their highest number and eventually it works.

Haven't started playing yet but yesterday when I was reading the manual for the game and came accross the rules for Caravan, I thought WTF is this, reminded me of the pathetic card games Square Enix tried to inflict on their customers a few years ago.

I'm not interested in playing this game at all, unless there is a good reason, i.e. dependent for a quest or can lead to some unique gear etc. Would someone please confirm if playing this card game makes any difference or not?
