I Dont Want To Kill Paarthurnax! :(

if I do not then what happens? i miss out on the 4 Blades quests? and i guess some of those 4 are radiant or w.e so they would repeat?? Anybody not kill him and finish the main story n stuff? thanks! the guidebook is not to detailed about if you dont kill him, or you do. it just says basically if you dont esbern and delphine dont help you anymore. if you do, then they are dragonborn fans again and they have a few quests you can do for them. but then i would assume the greybeards dont like you anymore and wont help you too. so whats the better way to go you think? what did you do? thanks yall!

In a nutshell, if you don't kill Paarthurnax then you no longer have access to the Blades (provided you recruited people to them) helping you fight any dragons and Esburn's dragon slaying blessing. If you do kill him, you will lose access to the Greybeards's help with word walls (Arngeir will mark undiscovered word walls for you if asked).

Yes. You have to. You have no choice. The game will not continue in any way shape or form until you kill him.

Your only option is to quit video games forever.

And forgot to add that if you kill Paarthurnax, you won't be able to change your meditation on a particular Word (which increases the power)

Heh, didn't know about getting all the Word Walls marked. Thanks, I was looking for a bit more adventuring to do.

I have the same problem. I don't want to kill Paarthurnax, he helped me against Alduin, but I don't want to miss out on the Blades either!

If I have to choose, I'll go with leaving the Blades. Which svcks. I really like Esbern, but Delphine is being a total ***** at the moment. A Blade is sworn to the service of the Dragonborn. A Blade of old like Jauffre or Baurus would never have given me an ultimatum like this.
