I had a neat experience while playing Skyrim the other night. This is my first TES game, but I have played other rpgs. I just wanted to share this with the community. I have alittle over 100 hours in now and I was just exploring around at night, taking a break from doing "fetch" jobs for random people lol when I came across a stray dog on the road. Now I didn't talk to the dog or anything I merely ran up to him to check him out. So I say to myself "cool, a random dog" and continue down the road. I look back after I hear something walking and the dog is following me. I didn't really think to much about it until I decided to check out a cave and the dog followed me. At this point I'm kinda wondering what he is doing, but I just continue exploring. Anything that I come across and engage in battle in, the dog helps me. Bandits, Dragur, Spiders, etc. It doesn't matter what I am fighting this stray dog is right there helping me kill it. We clear out the cave and make an exit. We continue down the path alittle ways and I decided that it was fun to have this guy as my companion....and my friend. I didn't want to keep have him tag along anymore though and noticed that I could tell him to "go back home" so I did. I wished him well and released him. Well he starts walking off and I notice a big camp in the very near distance and the dog starts walking towards it. I follow and get close enough to determine that its a Forsworn camp. The dog just continues to walk up to the camp thinking not much about it I guess. Then all the sudden the Forsworn start attacking him and within a few seconds he is dead. Immediately I am like wtf you douchebags. I then proceed to slaughter every single one of them and I throw most of their bodies into the nearby river. I take my friend to the highest point of the the camp and lay him down. I place and assortment of flowers on his body and take my leave. I really felt his death and it saddened me to see him go out like that. I feel bad for letting him go. Rarely do I get twisted up in a game like that, but with Skyrim is seems easy to do. I am really enjoying this game, hats off to Bethesda. I have experiences a very minor bugs and glitches, but I can easily overlook those.
Anyone else had a similar experience?
