Just lost my main and 3 backup saves to the "save game relies on downloadable content that is no longer available" bug :\

Really don't want to start him over, so I am requesting if there is any word on a potential fix or upcoming patch?

This happened to me too. The first time I played with XBL connected I allowed it to download the update patch and the game played fine after that. However, the next time I turned the game on, the two games saves that I had been using uring the same session as the update download were not accessible and the game notified me that downloadable content was no longer available. Upon selecting to play anyway, the game said that the storage location was no longer accessible.

I can load the most recent game save before those two saves, but the working save is from twenty hours prior to the non-working saves.

Yeah I regret not keeping more saves now, this is the first time it happened to me and I wish I could sacrifice some hours to get Gatts back

Ich habe ebenfalls dieses Problem. Ich besitze die AT Version, wohne aber in Deutschland. Der Bug ist reproduzierbar. Meine Begleiterin "h?ngt" seit l?ngerer Zeit in Caesars Camp im Bunker fest und begleitet mich nicht mehr (hier schon beschriebener Bug). Irgendwann kommt die Meldung " Begleiterin kehrt zu ...188 zurück". Und genau ab diesem Zeitpunkt erzeugt das Spiel nur noch Savegames mit "downloadable Content no longer....." bugs. Egal ob Autosave oder echte Speicherpunkte. Ich befürchte, viele viele Spielstunden sind verloren!

edit: Korrektur!! Erst wenn ich in der Raketenfabrik die Ghule spektakul?r ins Weltall schie?e kommt der Savegame-Bug. Die Meldung " Begleiterin ( ich glaube Sie heisst Veronika) kommt dann auch zeitnah.

i got this bug with my saves...... i reverted to an earlier save(lost over an hour) played for a bit then had the issue again with new saves......

frustrating to say the least.

i dont know whether to start anew or wait for a patch or something....... what if it happens again with new character?

i love the fall out games and this is kinda heartbreaking.

I wont play it until they fix it or I sell the game. I dont want to put hours of work into a char and then getting a corrupt save file in return. Bleh.

Wrong language, yes. But the same Problem in "Deutsch" (german). Sorry, but my english is bad. And this is the original Bethesda Softworks Forum and i think this is the best way to report errors.


Hey, i′m reading here, there are many others that have Problems with "the Come Fly With Me quest" . Exactly when pressing the Rocket Startbutton the new Savegames are bad. Needing this Quest for other later Quests or only nice to see the Rocket Start?
I′m not picking up the Space suit!
