Dragon Bone Weapons

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 3:33 pm

So a really sweet mod for the PC showcased a few dragon bone weapons. Although many people enjoyed the look of these, I was not so hot on them. Does anyone have an idea what they might look like? WIll they be stronger than deadric?

Oh, and does anyone know if they snuck in custom houses?

I saw a glimpse of the battle axe in the E3 demo.

As asxyninja said, they're confirmed to be stronger then daedric (though it's unclear how much stronger) and no pics have been released. As for the houses, that would be a huge amount of work for them to do and they would probably want to talk about it if they had, so I doubt they will sneak it in (or are even thinking about doing it, unfortunately.)

Well they can, because they are putting in a customizable fort for yourself in dawn guard.

I never said that they couldn't, just that I didn't think they would, and that they would be more public in releasing information about it, because a lot of people want it.

There's no information I'm aware of that shows the Dragon Bone weapons as they appear in the game. However, it was confirmed during the E3 interview that Dragon Bone weapons are stronger than Daedric. Kind of makes up for the fact that the armor isn't better than Daedric.

As for custom houses, yes, there are two custom houses we know of so far but only one is accessible at a time. It's the castle of the Vampires and the Dawnguard fortress.

it would be pretty sweet just to find a meteorite in the middle of a field, then you only have a limited amount of adamantium to make like one weapon or piece of armor. Domination.

I hope they make the dragonbone weapons a little snazzy, because the dragon armor (bone or scale) is a little dull. It's the color, mostly - that pale grey is not that compelling. Maybe if they were a bit shinier or something.....

Also, in terms of houses - I'd like to see some small changes made. For instance - if you could return to a Jarl's steward and pay for a 'refresh' of the alchemy or food stores, that would be cool. And I find the houses to be unequal, and none of them to be really ideal. It would be nice if I could add a couple of weapon plaques and mannequins in one or two of them, maybe add an enchanting table in Whiterun, small things like that. And maybe a few more bookcases, too.
Also: the weapons plaques in Windhelm are a bit buggy. And PLEASE, fix the 'walking mannequins' bug, it's really creepy.

well. aedra imo beats daedra, and as alduin, the first dragon, is said to be born of akatosh, dragon bone should be stronger than daedric weaponry. just my thought on it

Dragonbone armor is apparently a bit superior to daedric, and one of the developers announced in a video interview that there would be dragonbone weapons, and that they would be superior to daedric.

I welcome this - I find all the daedric paraphernalia to be somewhat morbid-looking. Lurid, even.

But the dragon paraphernalia needs a makeover. The light grey dullness of it all..................just doesn't have the right..........what's the word I'm looking for..............Aesthetic.

Consider: it's armor and weaponry made from a magical creature of extremely ancient origin and awesome power. The paraphernalia derived from dragons should thus have a certain fearsome grandeur and terrible beauty - a look that instills an atavistic panicked horror in enemies and a sense of wonder, astonishment and awe in neutral or friendly observers.

i actually love the look of dragonscale/bone armor, i dont expect the scale/bone armor to have a lustrous look to them, as i want them to actually look like they are made from bone. i just hope they look better than ebony.

Speaking of that grey color, does anybody else want clothing dye options in an update? Even if its not for armor, just regular clothes. I HATE the way my mage looks in his robes.

they just need new robe skins period. i hate the ones they have now. unenchanted thalmor robes would make me love playing pure mage just for that.

Never thought of it that way, guess it kind of makes sense. Dragons aren't just beasts after all, though if the Dragon bow doesn't look good, I'll stick with my Daedric one, simply because it looks awesome and it does too much damage as it is so looks are more important that a few extra digits.

I agree on the need for a dragonbone makeover, I'd use dragon armor if it wasn't so bulky too.

Guess I'll have to give myself a surplus of dragon parts via console commands when I get the DLC on PC eventually, I don't do the main quest.

I dont know about aedra beating daedra. Aedra can be killed, but daedra can only be banished.

Back on topic, go to 2:05 on this video for what I think is the dragonbone bow.
