I realize a lot of details are slowly leaking out everyday, but I'm curious to see if people are actually looking at the screenshots like I have been, primarily the screenshots of the members of the Dawnguard and the weapons they hold.
Look first at the screenshot of the mounted combat, of the Dawnguard member swinging the axe (if someone could please post an image that would be great, being a new member it seems I'm not allowed to do so.)
This is certainly a new kind of axe. The handle is made out of something that doesn't resemble the dark wood of the iron axe, and the axe head doesn't follow any in-game shape. Therefore it must be a new type of weapon. There's even an encircled cross on the axe head that matches the same design on the Dawnguard helmet. Could be a silver war axe? I highly doubt it though.
I think what really gives us a good handle on what the Dragonbone weapons will look like is the image of the female Dawnguard member wielding a warhammer of some type. If you zoom in on the screenshot you can see the head of the hammer looks as if its forged out of ebony, but the handle looks as if its carved out of dragon bone.
I hope the weapons follow this aesthetic pattern. Searching Google for the latest news on the new in-game stuff I saw an article that supposedly had images of the new weapons. They looked nothing like the weapons in the screenshots you can find on the Elder Scrolls wiki. The blades were made out of dragonbone, and the hilts/handles were made out of what appeared to be ebony. I don't think this is right.
Anyways, hope this stirs some discussion, if anyone can post photos of the screenshots I mentioned I think that would help out a lot. If I had permission to I would have myself. Let's get this discussion rolling.
