Dragons Reach clipping, what causes this?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 1:55 am

Hello all, I'm just wondering if this is a common problem with Dragon's Reach clipping or loading in late. Sometimes I just see the windows but not the walls until I get closer.

Is there a mod I can download or something I can do to prevent this? So far as I can remember, its been that way even before I installed the HD textures mod.

I remember someone had a similar one where at night the dragon reach windows would show up but not dragonreach itself. I believe they figured out it was actually a mod doing this.

I've never seen that on the picture before, but the "loading in late" happens often on mountains and I'm playing with it like that. Saying, I don't have any solution to prevent it.
Never seen anything wrong approaching dragons reach.

There area couple of map mods out there that did this to me. As soon as i removed them an went back to the default map the problem was sorted.

I have the "Quality Map" w/Roads installed, was that the culprit by chance?

Yup, that's the one.

The other map by the same guy (classic style with roads) also caused issues.

Go back to default and see if that sorts it out. did for me.

Now, me being a nub I think I replaced the default map files, is there a place on nexus where I can get the vanilla map back? I really don't want to reinstall the game.

Did you install it manually? If so just remove the files and the default map should just work again. I didn't overwrite anything when i installed it.

That's terribly strange, I'm also running that quality map thing but I haven't ever experienced Dragonreach's disappearing act. I wonder what the commonalities between your situations are vs my own.

I was running an out of date "buggier" version according to the map's current release details, that could have been doing it.
