No Dragons in RIFTEN! .-. why do no dragons come to Riften ?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:12 am

I've killed multiple dragons in Riften. In fact the only major place I haven't killed them is Markarth and that's probably because I avoid it as much as possible.

I have fought them every were, they attack the horse 99% of the time too!

Alure them to clear places like, clear the entance to a cave, go to a city, sleep and go back, stand in open space and a dragon will show up 95% of the time, keep the horse close to you, Lydia might be weak with a sword but with a bow she is deadly give her a good arrow 20+ Damage and watch the dragon come down.

I don't think dragons can attack in citites that you have to enter gates like riften, whiterun, etc. ...cities you can walk thru freely require no load screens so therefore dragons and other creatures can follow you in and attack the same way as walking the wild

Its just luck i guess. For me I faced a couple near Riften stables and on the outskirts of all the major cities. But in my game Dragons love attaking Ivarstead, their is virtualy no one alive there!

I've had dragons in walled towns with gates. In Windhelm it died right in front of the entrance to the palace, so it was definitely inside the walls. In Windhelm it died in the gates. In Riften it died right in front of Honeyside and I had to use "disable" to get rid of the skeleton. They can absolutely, positively no doubt appear in cities with gates and wall.

That's just weird. I believe you and the others who say this happens, but I have never seen a dragon inside a walled city (except Helgen, of course), and I've been playing steadily (and killed hundreds of dragons) since 11-11-11. I want to fight dragons in the city too, damn it.

Oh, yes they can! They can cross the boundary, and why? They be dragons!

Often had dragons attack me in the unwalled cities and towns, especially Morthal.
Only had 2 dragon attacks in a walled city, both in Whiterun on consecutive days

Keep thinking that. And when they take you by surprise because you felt safe in those walls and fry half the town's population because you weren't ready... well, you'll learn that pain eventually. Trust me, I learned it the hard way. Never let your guard down.

Dragons can and do attack inside cities. It's rare, but it does happen. Out of the ninety or so dragons I've slain, at least ten were inside city walls. In fact, the only city I haven't fought one in is Markarth.
