I was thinking about that but I don't mind (I'll tell myself something like...they breed quickly or some [censored]) It's just i want to finish the MQ before anything else and still be able to get shouts.

IMHO that's better than having an awesome item like a Sigil Stone and then NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THEM ANYMORE after a certain part in a certain game!

Unfortunately, yes. Tediously so. The only reason I did the MQ when I did with my first character was to make them stop. But, no, despite the plot dictating they should, they don't. With my current character I've been to the jarl of Whiterun so: no dragons! The game is so much better.

That's also a problem but I have it on PC so I'll just use the console to alter the amount that appear (or make none appear at all when I get bored with dragons)

Thanks everyboyd!

Wait...what the hell? What were you guys talking about it "doesn't make sense"? They clearly state why some dragons will still attack...

The idea is that by the time you've gotten to that point you probably already killed all the dragons in Tamriel.

I really wish they could've made shouts more effective/valuable and made dragons a rare thing.
