2 Dragons? : V

I was running through the tundra around Whiterun, heading for Fellglow keep, just how, and I was attacked by 2 dragons (and a sabre cat) all at the same time. A dragon breathing fire on me from the front, a dragon breathing frost on me from behind.

I didn't think that could happen. Has that happened to anyone else?

It hasnt happened to me, but when Todd did the gameplay video a billion years ago he mentioned groups of dragons. So i guess so.

Yup, it can happen. They even do it during the main quest at one point.

Hasn't happened to me yet, but it's happened to a friend of mine. I remember the flailing "omg two frost dragons at once omg omg" message I got from her when that one happened.

My guess is it's pretty rare, but it can happen.

I got attacked by a random dragon like 2 minutes after killing a scripted one, and have fought random dragons not far from word walls with dragons guarding them, but thats as close as I have come to two at once.

It has happened to me twice
1. Was just two normal dragons attacking me.
2. The second time there was 2 spiggan's with the foxe's under there spells attacking me, a bear, ancient dragon and a blood dragon and to top it all of a giant and a mamoth.

i think i am the only one being attacked by 4 dragons at the same time but i kinda didit on porpouse lol

An Ancient and an Elder at same time, just outside Dawnstar. If you don't race ahead of that area, you can fight those dragons one at a time during the MQ.

on a few occasions. i remember one situation where 2 elder dragons attacked me while i was trying to deal with some foresworn (like 4 or 5 of them), wasn't a very fun time, used all of my health potions.

LOL! How'd you do that? Seems like it would be hard to plan. I guess you could kite one towards an outside word wall/dragon lair. Dragons don't kite well though. Regular mobs do, but dragons have ADD. They'll fly off and find a mammoth or Giant or troll to attack if they aren't hitting you. My guess is this is to allow the player-character to run away, if he doesn't feel like fighting the dragon.

I was attacked by 3 frost dragons within 15 minutes once, but never to at once.

Only once in 470 hours. I fast-travelled to a cave and they were waiting. Both circled without attacking for a few seconds, then one just dropped out of the sky, dead. I didn't see or hear the other one attack it.

It happens to me once, i killed one of the dragon, the funny thing is the sabre cat killed the other dragon in just a few hits, then he came to me and ate my arrow for his last supper.

Sure. Had 3 dragons attack me while going towards Markarth. Then I summoned Odaviing

that was fun

There's definitely one point in the main quest where it's gonna happen. Only other time it's happened to me (in almost 600 total hours played) was outside of a mine going toward Markarth. Couldn't make any headway in the fight. As soon as one would finish attacking, the other would start. Got tired of dodging/healing after about 25 minutes and went into the mine to get some ore and kill some Forsworn. Upon exiting the mine, the fire breather was still there waiting. By himself, it was a much easier task.

I've seen two circling, but didn't manage to engange in a fight. And once there were two next to an imperial camp, so I only had to fight one, and the NPC's killed the other. Still managed to get both Souls though ! :smile:

I fought and killed two Blood Dragons in the hot springs area near Darkwater Ceossing. One was random and one was from the word wall at Bonestrewn Crest. One frost, one fire, both at once. That was a fun fight.

I've logged over 500 hours of play and have had it happen 3 times. Once there were 3 dragons nearby at once, but only 2 of them attacked me, the other just seemed to circle.

An Elder and a Blood Dragon when I was visiting Karthwasten once. At night which made for a chaotic fight.
I felt quite sorry for 1 NPC. I'd just handed her a quest item which meant she could never return home and moments later she dies :sad:

More chance if the battle moves over a distance (more spawn points) but I've certainly had several such battles - twin ancients is not fun, especially when alos worrying about several high rank draugr.

I was attacked by three at the same time once. One was a named Dragon, Vuljotnaak. The other two were an Ancient and Elder Dragon. I killed all three and have a Screenshot of it on steam, all three skeletons with my character standing in the middle. I think I had to heal two-three times during the fight, but I also popped a 50% two handed damage potion and was spamming single shout dragonrend to keep them grounded.

I was attacked twice by two dragons at once. The first time was out in the open (can't remeber where I was) and it was a hard fight, though not impossible, and the second time I was on a cliff heading to the glitched skeleton with the duplicating book. The second fight was laughably easy because they kept getting in each others way.
