On Xbox one I can't get dogmeat or any other companion to wear anything...I've seen youtube videos of dogmeat wearing that dog armor but he won't wear it for me??? Is there something i need to do?? I put the dog armor in his inventory and nothing...I've accidently removed Prestons and Mackready' hats and gave them back and they won't wear them???

You put it in their inventory, then equip it. I don't play on a console so I don't know the button, but on the PC it's T by default, I think (unless I remapped it at some point). It should tell you what to press at the bottom of the screen.

What Morchai said, on PS4 you put the dog armor in his inventory highlight it and hit triangle. As a Xbox player I'm sure the method is pretty much the same just a different button.

Dogmeat can wear dog armor, muzzles, and goggles. On PC (if anyone needs that) you equip with the T key.

And various collars as well. He should only carry dog stuff, and of course teddy bears.

Curious. Does he play with a baseball if you give him one? Throwing baseball grenades would be an interesting thing to see in combat.
