Dropping lit torches

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:40 pm

So I found out a way to drop lit torches and I might not be the only one who found this out but basicly all you need is six or more torhes. equip them then drop every torch you have and they all should fall out with one or more torches in a bundle and if you have enough there can be several torches that are already lit as well.and they should be floating in the air aswell untill you touch them or transition through another door but basicly I have about 2 torches lit in a bundle of six in my house in riften lighting up my home it really works well.so if you didn't know about this here you go.lets hope bethesda keeps this becuase I like this little glitch.

Yay! The one thing I didn't like about my Solitude home (besides some lack of storage) was the dim, cold lighting! Finally I can add some warmness to the tone. Thanks!

Wait, you.. you actualy wanted it to be brighter in proudspire? The main reason why I dont live there is because of the blinding light that shoots through the windows 24/7. Its like the anvil house in oblivion, it just annoys the heck out of me.

Im makin do in my cozy little home in whiterun, the hearth brings all the light I need  . I like the lighting in riftin, allthough the basemant could stand a little more light.

When I saw lanterns in the keep at helgen, I thought for sure you'd be able to light them and put them out like in morrowind. I was wrong

Just dropping a single torch, leaving the house, and returning did the trick for me. Don't know if that's still valid after the patches.

Yep thats the easy way to do it. I did exactly that in the Archmages quarters and the bottom floor of the Solitude house. Works with 1.3.

Yes, well for the areas that are dim. I hate the stark lighting in the dining and living room. So bright and cold, like Wal-Mart only 100x. The house itself is cold and un-welcoming, but since that character is an imperial I wanted a house in the imperial capital. Will probably make another character to live in the riften house, probably a theif.

The house that needs lighting is Markarth's Vlindrel Hall. Only a few spots in the house have lights on.

I like the lighting as is in Vlindrel Hall. It adds a more relaxed feel.

It would have made too much sense for Bethesda to add sconces to the walls of the homes. They probobly got deleted with the rest of the real RPG meat. Attributes, skills, weapons etc...
