Dual Weild, Favorites...Will This Be Fixed EVER?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 12:09 am

Favorites assigned to hotkeys keep disappearing and dual wield favorites appear impossible. The only dual wield combination that has worked so far are the swords I got from the Skyforge at the beginning of the game and it's not that fun in a role playing game being stuck with newb weapons. I can't hotkey any other combination of swords (even identical ones).

These issues seem so basic and broken that I'm shocked they weren't addressed in a hotfix shortly after release. Anyone know if this is going to be addressed, because it is really getting in the way of gameplay and enjoyment.

I have the same gripe with the dual wield system at the moment. It only works if I have identical pair of daggers for example. The minute I poison my daggers they are somehow viewed as seperate entities and I can't bind them again so that they can be used as dual wield. It only replaces your main hand weapon all the time.

Highly frustrating. It takes them MONTHS to do some basic patch tweaking.

Yes they totally neglected hotkeys for duel wielding. In fact the whole hotkey thing is a mess.

I also hate if you have 2 of the same dagger, while in the actual menu you have to select both with L and R (360). You can't just hit L and R on ONE Dagger and equip both of them. Stupid I know...

Makes my thief character shy away from daggers and use his bow more. sigh.

It is possible to dual wield using two different daggers I do it all the time.

In the equip one dagger in the left hand manually - without using a hot key. Then assign the right hand dagger using a hot key, a sword in the right hand with a second hot key (giving the ever useful mellee sward and dagger combination) and your bow with a third hot key. You are then set for a good back stab with two daggers, a fight, or a long range shot.
