Dual Wield + Heavy ArmorLight Armor (Master)

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 12:54 am

as the topic says,i'm gonna do third run on my char at master difficulty...

despite the broken hotkeys on favorite menu (which is tiresome when we upgrade similar weapon or using different weapon), it seems this build offers maximum challenges for me,hehehehe

well...that and i use PISE mod (increase spawn 50% mobs and improved AI)....

heavy armor = more def
light armor = more agile

and does the light can close the gap with heavy??

so i was thinking about how to take on this master with this build...

when i use shield+one-handed i would invest perks on :

1. one-handed
2. heavy armor
3. block
4. smith
5. alteration (mag res)
6. lord stone and mara blessing

now i'm faced with dilemma,as i never..ever....ever in my life using light armor on TES...LOL

sooo, any suggestion on how to conquer master with dual-wield build??

please advice :D

With agile armor and no shield to absorb damage, the key is not getting hit at all (easier said than actually done).
Alchemy holds the key I recon that can tip the scales of balance in your favor. Able to produce a steady supply of healing/resistance potions that can be instantly used during battle as well as being able to coat your blade with the good stuff. Applying poison to your blade is also instant, so you could coat your blade and after your first few hits coat your blade again with an other kind, for as far as I can tell they seem to stack.

If you want a good build, follow my studies for my next assassin-like-character (I'll REMAKE my old Wulfgaar =D)

Use enchantments!

Enchant + Illusion + one handed ( ALL DUAL WIELD PERKS ) and light armor. The rest you may chose as you wish.

Enchant your weapons with ABSORB HEALTH. Use dual swords. Dual wielding daggers is not any effective.

When you get enough level you'll absorb 20+ HP for each hand. It means 40HP each strike (I hope so)

This kind of weapon need to be OFTEN recharged, so make use of Azura's Star or the Black Star for as long as you use the absorb blades.

I use absorb magicka for daggers, since I kill everything in one blow. So it compensates when I use the invisibility spell.

Take your choise, assassin! ;)

You can perk up and enhance light armor to the def cap so no real issue in light vs heavy imho other than looks. Daedric looks so baller it's the bleep and if nightinggale could be enchanted now that be my [censored] alas it's enchants blow lol.

The Armour cap is ~578? or there about and any armour can hit that that where you maxed out damage reduction.
TBH Light Armour is the better defensive armour due to it ultimate perk Evasion 10% dodge. Oh and the +50% stamina regen rocks as well.

As for Enchantable nightinggale armour ETC -> mods on PC that let you make some that you can enchant & every other armour in the game http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=799 DL and install this and you can craft anything (there even one that lets you make artefacts), and another that gives you smithing perk boosts to all items IE the 2x bonus.

10% chance to reflect that damage back is much better. The stamina regen isn't that great when in combat because it'll regen so slow anyway (1/3 the rate of normal regen). 50% less stagger is better.

wooowww,i didn't think about absorb health LOL

unfortunately the items are random right??or there's a weapon that absorbs health/stamina that are fixed in the game?? O.o

thx so much guys for the advice..

i was going for a light armor but switch to heavy as i remember how i encountered bear and sabre cat could be very very annoying as they have lighting speed attacks...LOL

honestly i didn't even try to wear light armor...so example, you guys know bears and cats can jump from a distance (power attack) and bites our *profanity* in less than 2 seconds, eventho i ran backwards to try to dodge it,it still caught up with me when i'm wearing heavy armor...would light armor results in the same event or i can dodged it the next time they jumped on me from far??

The Absorb Health you do by enchanting the weapon of yours. This is purely skillcraft/perk-craft. :P

And about the light armor: I am really happy with my Light Armor. I'm lvl 45 and I DO USE the Ancient DB armor. And it fits me well.

Light armor is fuching great if you want agility.

About the lightspeed attacks.. this is because you're low level. I do kill even a Draugr Deathlord with 4 power attack dual-blows.

Yesterday I did a tour in a Draugr Dungeon... I was tired of being sneaky because I was doing a quest for a NPC that followed me...

So I faced Draugrs: 2 deathlords, 5 common, 3 restless and 1 wigth (is it right? WIGHT? :S)

I used stamina potions a lot for doing my power attacks (dual power attack (dual savagery perk is great! ) and I killed everybody with about 4 or 5 health potions. (300HP)

At max skill light and heavy is very even with one another, assuming your perk of course. I'd assume heavy is more protection early on, which probably matters a lot for a dual wielder starting on Master.

so i still have to find a weapon that has an absorb health properties first then disenchant them to be able to enchant it to my custom weapon right??

hahaha true!!!my level was below 10 at the time and i forgot to take a slow time dragon shout (i think it's quite handy when you're in a pinch and didn't have anything to protect you..LOL

okay...so the end gear for the best light armor is the dragon light armor then??i thought it was nightingale hahahahahaha...plus it looks cool :D

1 - Yes, you must find a absorb health weapon first to disenchant.

2 - Dragon Light armor has very high defense levels for light armor. I never tried Nightingale, but depends on your role. If you want to be an assassin like me and do all you can to avoid combat, DB armor is the best. If you want to use other sets of armor.. it's your call.

You can disenchant both stamina and health and make two different weapons to absorb. Or, if you're master on enchanting, you can do both health and stamina drain.

And you can upgrade nightingale armour if you have arcane smithing. It will increase your armour to a certain point. But, of course, you can't change it's enchantments.

hmmm, okay i'm having dilemma here...should i go for a stamina or health absorbs...

if i have stamina absorbs i can enchant it just to take 1 or 3 points of stamina and have a plenty of recharge rate and i can have myself a power attack festive...LOL

but if i have health absorbs,it will decrease my potions use...hmmm..of course i can have both,hehehehe...

btw,any poisons that could help me out there??right now i'm using slow poisons (50% more slower for "x" seconds),but it seems not the attack speed, still it might came in handy :D

Upgrade your enchanting to 100 and use the perk wich makes you use both stamina and health absorb. That will make you a power-attack-absorb-health machine. It does works fine for me. But I'm trying to upgrade my enchant to 100 before doing this.

And there are many potions I love to use.
Ravage Health Poison
Damage Health poison
Virulent poison
Virulent stamina potion

and

Frostbite venom. Yeah, does little damage but it helps me killing giants a lotter.

If you want, improve your alchemy and make your own poisons. That will do.

You can do some weird enchantments to improve your rampage. one sword does health and stamina absorb and other does frost/shock damage.

You'll both drain the opponent's health and stamina and damage the stamina and magicka of the opponent plus giving shock and frost (slow the oponent).

I'll be doing this today. I'll leave the main quest for improving all my skills.

stamina absorb is useless, considering you can use power attacks even with one stamnina => just cook vegetable soup wich regenerates 1 stamina and health every second for 720 seconds and you can unleash power attacks every second for 12 minutes...

hmmm i think i found where the absorbs weapon are..but if i go to a specific place that has a quest line on it and i went there just to get the weapon would the quest line be broken if later on i want to start those lines?

i think i'm gonna go with absorbs stamina and frost damage just to mess around with mobs movement speed..LOL

btw,is there any console commands to disable prompting when we use poison on weapons?a bit tiring when i press a hotkey and they ask me again "yes or no" :D

i already tried it with the soup, and when the stamina pool goes dry,it still takes a few seconds to recharge..so i think maybe if i added some absorbing effect it might stack a bit, thus speeding my stamina recovery..or so i think..gonna try it anyway..LOL

No, the quest won't broken if you do not pick any quest item and destroy/sell it. But rarely it happens. Quest Items has unique names, so, you'll be sure you found one.

Else, get the weapon, disenchant and apply to your new weapons.

And I don't know any commands. I only know about pressing Y or N to yes or no. It helps me. xD

I think there is a one-eye female that you CAN marry. The people here in the forum can tell you. I don't remember.

But you can console people to get married with, anyways.

Cheers!
