DumbGreat weapon combos....

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 3:45 pm

Hey,

Like I swear I picked up this bow which induces fear upon striking low ranked adverseries. Had a heck of a good time racing through the trees trying to kill off that bear I just hit and invariably getting attacked by all manor of critters whilst on this hunt! Talk about a dumb weapon combo.

I'm pretty basic in how i"ve been playing- sword/shield type knight but I love to put soul trap on a decent sword. Get to fill those gems easily and with no hassle....now that is a decent weapon combination to have majicked,

Curious to others experience when it comes to lame and those decent weapons!

Rogueone.

Any melee weapon with absorb stamina is overpowered as hell... and any melee weapon with fear is a pain in the a** for me xD

Dual wielding Daedric swords, one is enchanted to absorb stamina, the other to grab health.

OR

Nightingale sword X Sanguine Rose.

All you need is to absorb 1 stamina and you can power attack endlessly.

A 30 multiplier for one handed sneak attack is pretty powerful.

-Turn Undead and Banish for a nice "holy" weapon

-Shock damage and Absorb/Damage Magicka for anti-mage weapons

-Frost damage and Absorb/Damage Stamina for a good warrior's bane weapon (really debilitates them, especially for ranged weapons)

-Fire damage and Fear for amusemant

-Silent Moons and Paralyze for the occasional surprise in combat

That's all i've got. There aren't a lot of weapon enchantments, really (which isn't to say that they aren't useful, just that you can't come up with many unique/interesting ones). You could do something silly like Absorb Stamina and Fear if you feel like chasing people around, I suppose.

Downside with fear or turn undead is that the enemy will run away, for bows this is also an weakness as it makes the enemy harder to hit.
I wonder how a 1 second duration melee weapon will work? The enemy will turn it's back to you, start to run away and then return.

I have never gotten paralyze enchants to work, I assume you must have perks in alteration for it to be effective.

Currently using Mace of Molag Bal and the Blade of Woe...it is working out nicely but the Blade of Woe tends to eat through all my soul gems.

I just found Dawnbreaksr and it is also working nicely with the Mace of Molag Bal.

Yay for dual wielding!

I've never used a paralyzing weapon but i use the spell frequently. It doesn't work on undead. Is that who you are having issues with it?

Can you dual-attack mineral patches?

I always thought about playing with a Woodcutter's Axe and a Pickaxe, because this way you save some weight hauling them everywhere(well at least the Pickaxe).

Well you do know that you can use a pick axe as a weapon and manually attack ore deposits and they will be "mined" right? Well all you have to do is dual wield pickaxes and hold down the mouse buttons for dual power attack and wah la ;)

Funny thing, if you have one pickaxe and equip it, then start mining it will put the equipped pickaxe in the belt, then summon one new and start mining.

Strange. Paralyze spells always worked for my mage on Draugr. Calm or rage do not work till you hit 100 Illusion. My paralyze spells nearly never get resisted. A paralyze enchantment gets resisted frequently. That makes the enchantment not overpowered, but just a useful help to survive a multitude of enemies on master. One of my swords has an "Absorb health", the other a "Paralyze" enchantment. The former is my bread and butter weapon, the latter I use against more than two enemies or after I got ripped open several times against the same foe. I have an axe on a short cut with a "Soul trap" enchantment for the occasional last blow.

The reason I use an "Absorb health" instead of fire or ice enchantment is just optics. It's not so that the health I get is of so much use (I'm very lightly armoured and cannot wage longer fights). I just don't like burning or iced enemies.

That has to be one of the most imba combos against ore mines. Yes you can quickly mine ores by physically hitting it with equipped pickaxes. (but you get less overall)

enough enchantments to increase one handed weapons by 70 percent (deadric sword=120 damage) both swords with absorbing health.

Maybe it was just the Dethlords.
