Dungeon Respawn Rate?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:01 am

First off, hello, my in-game character is a Paladin. We enjoy walks on the beach, reading poetry, and SLAYING THE SERVANTS OF EVIL!1!!1!1!1!

Ahem, sorry

So, I've pretty much gone and slaughtered every single Undead in Skyrim. Vampires, Draugrs, you name it, I've smited it.

How long does it take for them to respawn? If I don't smite Undead within a certain timeframe, I get....edgy

I believe it's 30 (or 7) in-game days for a dungeon to reset itself after clearing it. I could be completely wrong though.

Never paid much attention to it myself since I'm going through the content at a snail's pace.

Yes, from what I've learned, the vanilla respawn time for "cleared" locations is 30 in-game days. With the mention that you must not visit the area in that time-frame, or else the timer resets to 0.

30 ingame days is too long. Should really be shortened. Especially for ores and mining. So ridiculous!

I believe it is 30 days for anything with "cleared" on it and 10 days for everything else. In previous Elder Scrolls games it used to be 3 in game days. So yeah, a tad too long in my opinion but nothing a mod can't fix.
