DXX-R servers For EU players? I have a solution to that!

Hi all :)

It has been sometime I have been working on a solution for the European Descent players as main goal, anyone else is free to join also not to worry ;)

But since the Europeans seek servers that are 100% stable, lag-free and that can give them a great time as well, well I came to the idea of making all my three Dual Opterons as hostable Descent Servers, let's say three 4 to 8 player games per night? Or say 12 to 24 hours per day during the weekends? :mrgreen: :lol: :mrgreen:

This is a gift from me and my mate DeathKnight which was capable of making this possible, so I could host multiple games and still do my MW2 games if that is also needed.

Anyways everyone here is welcome on my servers, although I do have rules on my servers ;)

They are the following:

No unfair gameplay, keep it clean!
No ranting & insulting other players, you will either be kicked or the server shall be restarted
Just remain calm if things are not going your way or leave.
Difficulty is set to Ace Mode
items that are not included in my games are the following:
Omega Cannon
InVul Orb
Cloaking Device
My servers always have Team Kills disabled if a Team game is Hosted.

So as the rules go they are simple but to the point and I hope to keep them that way, this way everyone gets a fair chance ;)


And yeah that's about it :)
I use the following Server names to host these games to avoid confusions.

Nice, very NICE !!! This will bring in more EU players for Descent multi (Vortex). :D
We can always use more players, and we need all the players we can get. ;)

Hey no probs man, I'm Gold_Leader on Vortex btw :)

But yeah, I can only host in the weekends, otherwise my power bill might go KaBooM! xD :lol: :mrgreen:

But yeah gotta do something with that collection and them Opterons right! At least one or two of the three will be used to host games for you guys :)

Just be sure you have DXX-Rebirth 0.57.1 installed in your D1 and D2 games to join :) Holder Of The World's Largest Descent / Freespace Collection:

Hi all.

Well it seems that I won't be hosting for some time, it's that I have many things coming my way the upcoming year's end.
My Rotterdam Modern WEarfare2 Clan will be getting many new battles up coming, even that MW3 just released we prefer to wait off the reviews of it, if it sux, we will keep on going on with MW2, which I do sense incoming, since Black Ops was a major fallback.

Also Project G34 will be worked on and I hope to get this 2CPU / 24 Core monster up and running this years end, even though I think it will be completed in January of 2012, oh well, will have to see how things proceed.

I'll be going for Dual 12 core CPU's since these will be needed to flash the bios to support the 4,8,12 and 16 core Opteron 6200 Interlagos CPU's and the 20 core Opteron 6300 Piledriver CPU's.
The price per 6174 is very doable also, for about 800 EUR I can grab a matched pair :)

My illness is holding me back also, staying up such longs nights, this will have to change, so I am taking a base of action to deal with this, anyways I will try to host when I am available and when that is? is also a question.
Sometimes I think I should of never mentioned this hosting thing, the idea can be useful but yes a Dedicated server a real one can solve many problems for everyone.
