Dye

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:04 am

How would it not be cool? Im wondering why they didnt implement it in the game yet. For instance I found Elven boots with 25% sneaking on it. It would totally be awesome if I could dye those black so they would match the rest of my armor, suiting a thief. For me this would be totally an idea for a future DLC or TES game. How do you guys feel about it?

Don't understand why there wasn't a tailoring option in the game.

It's possible there are specific dyes for metal, after all they have to paint cars too

But there are also dyes for leather and cloth as well as paint and also for hair

It would allow for more customization for sure! I really want purple hair! And I would love makeup options for both genders and a chance to customize my own clothes as well as make my own clothes INGAME.

Yeah why not? If you would add a dye to the optional screen, you would make 'White Ebony Armor' for example. Or red Glass Armor. I think it would optimize the way of your characters look.

Yeah, I was screwing around. While it may be fun, and I wouldn't put it past Bethesda to add it in a DLC or expansion, I'm not sure if they will.

How much you want to bet EVERYBODY would be wearing black.

almost everyone. I would be wearing a mix of purple and violets myself. Or even give us the option to MAKE our own dye!!! Dye has been traditionally made from petals of flowers as well as seashells and minerals from mining!

Well, me for instance, would be dying armor sets several colors to have them stalled on a mannequin afterwards. I think a Ancient DB set would look awesome in silver.

TIME! Also, It would need a lot of specific materials and shops. I bet, though that TES VI will have the option to tailor and tailors.

PS.: They should change the Stark words to "We're getting so much sh!t, why God, oh why, why".

It shall serve a purpose though. To think you saw a pink orc coming at you, you probably wouldn't take him seriously and that is the last mistake you will make when he cuts you down.

Besides, pink can look good on straight guys too, if done right it can bring out their ruggedness and make them look super approachable while at the same time making them look so hot <3

And this is coming from someone who dislikes pink ((unless it's a very dark pink)) The reason that dress is pink to begin with is to attract more customers.

This.

Also you should be able to dischant ANYTHING. Unique armors (even if the enchantment isn't learnable), so you can put what you want on any armor.

That makes no sense.

And I hope the don't add tailoring to Skyrim, the might tack it onto Blacksmithing and that would just be wrong. . .

I'm reading through "A Storm of Swords" and It sure as [censored] does, the whole world seems to work against them to a point where it becomes riddiculous, they somehow manage to get the worse part out everything.

Why would It? It'd be closer to Cooking, clothes don't have stats.

I hope they do add tailoring in the next TES game. You can make your own weapons and armor but can not make your own robes. It wouldn't be right to fit it in the category blacksmiting but it would be awesome to make it a new skill.

I would love the option as long as they include a primary color and trim or secondary color options to the armor (maybe even tertiary color?); It wouldn't look so good if it all dyed into a solid color, maybe if they kept the trim un-dyeable or you could only dye the trim.

Also it would make random loot more interesting, would I want a Black, Blood red trim Fur Cuirass with +30 health or would my character wear the bright white, yellow trim Fur with +50 health he just found? Even though he might be a thief and completely opposed to wearing more visible colors, or maybe a black mage etc., it would allow for another rp decision when deciding what to wear

Lastly, certain obnoxious colors should not be able to be found randomly, anything Pastel should be only found in an eccentric wizards clothing drawer, just as long as you aren't finding chests with sixy pink clothing and armor in all-men bandit camps or obnoxiously colored armor at the bottom of a draugr lair

I'm actually fond of pink. Not bright pink, just regular pink. Good color, shame it's always affiliated with females. Why? I don't know. I don't see what's so "feminine" about it.
