Easiest fortify alchemy?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:33 am

I'm looking for some fortify alchemy apparel to disenchant. I'm hoping to find one in a shop. What's the easiest way to get this enchantment?

Check Ri'saad's caravan, the blacksmiths and general stores. I find them most often in Whiterun.

What level do I need to be? I'm currently at level 9, halfway through to level 10.

Alchemy enchants can show up on bracers/gloves/gauntlets, helmets, rings, and necklaces, so you can check for those at all blacksmiths/traders and such.

There are a couple quest rewardsish with Fortify Alchemy enchants, those'd be the closest things to sure things for those.

DARK BROTHERHOOD/MISC. QUEST SPOILERS

Spoiler
Frida, the alchemist in Dawnstar, will ask you to find the Ring of Pure Mixtures (Fortify Alchemy 12 pts) in a random dungeon. Once you have the ring, you can hold onto it, or give it to her then pickpocket it back.
In the Dark Brotherhood quest "Mourning Never Comes," if you complete the optional part of the quest and kill Nilsine Shatter-Shield, Miuri will give you Miuri's Ring (Fortify Alchemy 15 pts.)
You can also disenchant the rings to gain the Fortify Alchemy enchantment if you wanna throw it on gear yourself.

The best places to check to buy items with enchants seem to be:
Riverwood Traders
Warmaidens
Radiant Raiment (also check Bits & Pieces and the Blacksmith while you're in Solitude)
Riften Blacksmith

Other places sell the stuff also, but I've always had the best luck at those places.

The easiest way is to save right before talking to a blacksmith. If he doesn't have it, kill him then reload and check again.

You could also go to general/clothing vendors, but those tend to be on more expensive apparel.

Yes there is an alchemy ring you get as reward from the alchemist in Dawnstar and the quest is easy as I recall.

On pc, it is NOT necessary to kill the merchant. Simply exit to desktop, then relog into game.
