I thought it would be fun to start a master thread for easter eggs, references to other works, or homages that we've found in Skyrim.

- Notched Pick Axe - We've all heard of this one. Its a shout-out to "Notch", the creator of wildly successful Indie game "Minecraft".

- http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Temba_Wide-Arm - A reference to the "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darmok" episode of Star Trek TNG. Picard and an alien captain are transported to a planet to engage in the hunt of another creature. Picard has great difficulty communicating with the other captain, because his race speaks a language heavily reliant on metaphor. While making camp, Picard is unsuccessful at building a fire. The alien captain offers some of his own with the expression "Temba, his arms wide". This is when Picard begins to understand the alien communication, understanding "Temba, his arms wide" to mean "I give, you receive".
