Easiest way of making money in this game? I mean bottle caps not gambling money.

Kill-Loot-Sell for money.

Three mods per weapon max far as I can tell. I think some only have two mods.

what about the hunting rifle? Would you suggest a scope, extended mags and.......?

You need to be level 14 with 90 repair then chose the FANTASTIC jury rigging perk.

Buy for example a low condition 10mm submachine gun and repair it using junk guns (10mm pistol 9mm pistol) sell the end product. This might not work with every gun but the 10mm machine gun sells for 2000+ and you can buy a low condition one with a few junk guns for much cheaper

if you have the PC version.... the tilde key is your friend

The custom action. Those are the only three mods the hunting rifle can accept (all weapons can accept all the mods that they have, but no weapon has more than three mods available).

My suggestion, learn and master Caravan. It pays out in caps.

Repair stuff to full condotion sell, steal items sell, everything you find you don't need sell, Kill NPC sell loot or gamble there are many ways to make money in Fallout NV.

The most caps ive had so far was like 9,000. Thats mainly because after going through vault 34 and getting all the guns and ammo in the armory. I sold most of the guns from that cept the couple unique items

After selling all that i managed to have like 7000 caps. I usually sell energy weapons, and there ammo also since i dont use them.. I prefer my sniper rifle, 9mm handgun with mods, and a few others. Those 8k caps didnt last tho, as i used em to repair my weapons at the mojave outpost that guy has a 100 repair skill in there.. Now i have like 100 caps again... lol

Altho i managed to get back to 6k by meeting Mr. House for the first time he aparently likes the snow globes that you find.
