Eat, sleep & be merry!

Bethesda, could you please implement hunger and sleep deprivation affects into Skyrim...I can't see why this wasn't included. As it stands eating and sleeping are somewhat useless in TES atm.

How about a hardcoe mode like in NV....hunger, dehydration...etc.

How about limb damage affects like in FO games....concussions, broken limbs...etc.

To be fair, eating helps identify what power that ingedient holds, and also many foods have a low supply of health, magicka, or stamina. And sleeping gives you a bonus towards leveling up. But I agree with Skyrim should support a hardcoe mode, similar to NV. I wish I had Skyrim on PC JUST for this. But like someone said earlier, I still eat, drink, and sleep.

Yeah, my first character on NV was hardcoe. It didn't take long to realize I was never playing without it again! I'd like to see a more interesting take on limb damage that forces the player to make a sling or cast and wait a certain amount of in game days till all is well again. Although, in a world in which Skyrim exists, you could always just use magic to fix broken limbs.

I also want to go to the bathroom and I want to remain in bed for two months whenever I catch some disease. Oh, and make it so we can't stand more than 15 minutes under a snow storm. Only the Nords should be allowed to climb to High Hrothgar, thanks to their innate resistance to cold. The rest would have to skip the main quest. Oh, and when an arrow hits me I want it to incapacitate some limb, making it so I have to fight with only one hand. :)

I would never use it, but I don't see why it couldn't be implemented for those who want it.

I think my sarcasometer just broked! (BTW, I the only thing I didn't like about that was the first sentence, and the Hrothgar thing would be a bit racist!)

not only is it ABSURD that they didn't include a vegas-like hardcoe mode, but, it should have been IMPROVED UPON from that game with more than just a few inclusions. advancement should always be the goal.

i was and, when i think about it, still am bitterly disappointed that i STILL can't play an elder scrolls RPG! on the consoles in 2012 where i have to consider food, sleep, weight, diminishing skills with nonuse, potions over time, etc. and all the realistic aspects that should be a staple option.

give me a break beth. this shouldn't be a DLC money-grab. this is nuts and bolts of the original game.

Maybe if we petition for it hard enough, they'll give us a hardcoe mode? I'm sure it's possible for them implement it for free, right? I agree that its a bit silly that they didn't have it built in from the beginning, especially since it was so great in NV!

if it's actually implemented i'd imagine it would be with one of the dlc's.

but, i'd definitely pay for it with extra content and reasonable price. heck ya.

While your sarcasm seems light hearted, Osheao makes a good point: why didn't hardcoe mode make it into the game? I thought it went over well in NV and I can't see a reason why it wasn't implemented and improved upon, unless time was an issue. If they do roll it into a DLC, i'll be a bit disappointed. It seems a bit much to ask more money for something that was previously included in the pricetag.

I'd be OK with that if they bundled it with a quest, maybe some Hircine related survivalist hunt of something. But if they released pure gameplay DLC(s) that fixed balance, added spellcrafting, added hardcoe mode, etc. it would definitely look like a cash grab.

I have to agree with you, I think they could have added a hardcoe mode to Skyrim. My guess is that time was an issue and maybe they thought it wouldn't be worth it to invest time and resources on something that would potentially appeal to a relatively small percentage of players. And I don't think they'll add it via DLC, I believe the devs will let the modders work their magic just like they did with Oblivion.
