I have the blade and can't seem to find someone to kill which will unlock it's power, anyone have an idea?

i found an ebony sword in blackreach in a chest of one of the dungeons there, looks good with my glass cuirass and ebony shield an boots with a nightengale hood... didnt have to unlock it though are you talking about an enchanted ebony sword or one thats involved in a questline??

first you kill your soul. because I found it too soul killing to use. you kill followers and people you have done favors for. and the blade gets stronger. meanwhile, the daedric fires of hell.....get hotter. muh ha ha.

Ebony blade from a Deadric quest.

He said Ebony Blade, not Ebony Sword. There's only 1 Ebony Blade in the game and it's a daedric artifact. Why can't people understand the difference between blade and sword?

The guide says it starts out at 10 absorb health and goes to 30 absorb health as you kill 10 friends.

Ah, 10 friends have to be killed. I killed a few and nothing.

It is indeed the case that the base absorption is 10 and goes up to 30 after you kill 10 friends, each time you kill 2 the lady whispers to you. This blade also has a few bugs and benefits from the enchantment that increases % to one-handed damage instead of two handed. I made a topic with more information on it called "The Ebony Blade."
