Editing NPCs

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 10:31 am

Hi, I've been trying to edit some NPCs, and when I finish and save the esp, I open it in the Skyrim Launcher and when I play the game, my edit's aren't there. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

I feel bad about unintentionally bumping this but, am I just installing it wrong? Is there supposed to be a facegendata file?

Did you go to data files in the launcher and enable the esp? What kind of modifications are we talking here? If you're editing their appearances, try exporting their facegen data (click on the actor in the object window and press Ctrl+F4).

On a side note, I've been having trouble rendering some actors in the preview windows as well as the render window, specifically Illia. I get an error reading "Unable to map bone NPC Root [Root] on dunDarklightIllia (01000D62)->Illia (00048C2F) for Havok Behavior Controller." If anyone has any insight on this, please share.

When I do it, it;s either discolored head, or no edits at all.

There are some issues with tints, colours and other similar Actor edits ... There is a post on here somewhere (if you can find it, with so many posts per day!) with comments from one of the Beth lads.

That post includes a work around for some things, but other things to do with Actor customisation are - afaik - broken

ctrl+f4 or ctrl+f5? And how exactly do you export it? I think that may be the problem
