It apparently has a picture of Raul in a kickass mexicano outfit.

Oh and "All fallout games start with the Vault. This is really the first Fallout where you're not."

You didn't start in or at a vault in FO2 or Tactics (IIRC)

Oh. My God. Raul looks like the single most badass ghoul in the history of Fallout. I'm not joking. So it looks like the screenshots that were already released were a placeholder. I mean, holy crap.

I'm thinking Boone might actually have to sit my first playthrough out now.

@apples: I think that is concept art, not the final "in game" model. The problem is the image is so small it is hard to tell (it looks a lot like the NCR Ranger Armor image that got leaked early on). Still, the Vaquero! outfit is hilarious.

All right, looks like Raul is awesome. Thought he was going to look like a squishy little ghoul man like he did earlier.

I could tell the outfit was drawn, it's just that the face and hair and everything look like they could easily be rendered. I would be really disappointed if Raul doesn't end up looking like he does in the pic, because it's just badass. It suits Danny Trejo much more than the earlier pics, too.

Whoa what's up with the third pic. Its too blurry? I hope that blur isn't there on purpose.

The screenshot is from the trailer. It's blurred because it quickly cut to something else.

Are you referring to the one with the laser rifle? I think the player is just taking damage. Nothing out of the ordinary, it happens in Fallout 3 when you take damage as well.

What is interesting about the Raul image is there seems to be three levels of armor. I wonder if each represents a different stage in the companion development questline? If so, that adds credence to what others have speculated: that the Advanced Power Armor Mk I is the reward for completing Arcade Gannon's (former Enclave) companion quest.

Did you play F3 with your eyes closed? The aggressive use of blurring in fights was the most memorable thing to me. Memorable because of giving me headaches until I shut it off. ^_^

Could be the case. Sounds like it make sense. Maybe rewards from the quest can vary from new, unique, equipment for your companion or for yourself.

Thrice only played fallout 3 for one playthrough IIRC and that was a long time ago.
He/she's forgotten a lot of the gameplay.

Definitely, parts do look rendered. Also, I agree (Strongly) that it fits Trejo better. The Vaquero outfit, sans sombrero, is going to look [censored] bugnuts.

Totally. Especially since the pic of the Enclave armor features a pipboy, implying it is the player character wearing it.

If we complete one companion questline can we dismiss them and start another?

I like that is immediately where your mind went, I only wish I had thought of it first. *crosses fingers*

What's so great about it is that it is a classic, awesome looking piece of clothing that has been adjusted to look like it should exist after the apocalypse, with the shoulder pad and all.

Do you not have it anymore? Because I think it would probably help out a bit if you did another playthrough before New Vegas comes out. You will be a bit more familiar with how everything works first hand instead of through people telling you and through memory.

I know what you mean, It took me back to Red Dead Redemption for a moment there. I remember wearing the heck out of the Bandito outfit when I played RDR. (Especially when I was hanging out down in Mexico) :tops:

Holy [censored], Raul looks badass in that Mexican outfit. He'll definitely be my companion.

Edit: Also, he has two holsters...

A high res image of that Vaquero outfit (either in game or concept) needs to get leaked/released PRONTO!

I believe we can, but they've also said that each companion will give you a perk that only works when they are with you. I assume the perk is part of the companion-quest reward.

I kind of doubt it. It just wouldn't be fair to the companions leaving uniquely badass armors and clothes at the whim of the PC. Enclave armor is almost certainly a non-unique item, and hopefully there will be more than one of Raul's suit.
