What's the easiest way to kill an elder dragon? what i usually do is keep on hitting them with a shield and use a sword but with an elder dragon wen i use dragonrend they land in different places and i end up having 2 sprint there which therfore i lose stamina and cant hit them and then i die!

You should still be able to attack with stamina drained, you just can't power attack.

Potions of fire/cold resistance and restore health should enable you to take down any dragon.

I find I can conserve stamina if I think just a bit. I do hot key health potions sometimes for extended battle and you could do that with stamina potions if it is a real problem.

Best not to let them land. If you force them to land they will bite your head off. That's what I do with Ancient Dragons when I can't cope. I hide behind somewhere and use spells and arrows and Fire Breath/Frost Breath.

Ancient Dragons ... my favorite:

You can see flickers of a certain shout still on his dying body.

If you have it, use the Marked for Death shout followed by the strongest thing you have, preferably an enchanted bow.

The most easy way is to get the impact perk and stagger them to death.

Excellent. You can join the group of Dragon kill cam addicts. I am starting to amass quite a few and since I got this mod to take most of the blur out I am starting to get some nice screen shots:

just keep using dragonrend on him even while he is on the ground, that way he can't get up and land at a new spot.

Roll a redguard and you'll be laughing at your stamina bar while you're shield bashing, power attacking etc.

Why would you not use sometype of a range attack? If it is roleplay then I guess you better roleplay running to some giants or to guards who will use archery or magic to hit a flying dragon.
