I guess this has since been fixed in a patch but early on, I completed the Septimus Signus quest, I think that is what it was called, then sold the Elder Scroll to Urag at the College of Winterhold. Now I am trying to complete Elder Knowledge quest and it is asking me to get the Elder Scroll but I can't seem to get it back from Urag.

Any ideas? Or is this Level 51 character toast?

I don't think the additem worked, unless it helped trigger the conversation with the dragon. I got the scroll back but when I tried to read it, nothing happened. It just changed the screen as if I had tried to read a book but the book wasn't there. I dropped the scroll and picked it back up but same thing.

I eventually just ended up progressing the quest one stage at a time using the setstage commands until the scroll was no longer needed. Everything has gone normally since, as far as I can tell.
