Is there any way for us to drop an Elder Scroll once we get one? I'd really like to display it in my house but all I can do is sell it to the book keeper at the College of Winterhold.

I dont know of a way to display it. I sold it for the 2000

Even using a console command to drop it will only make it disappear. The Elder Scroll has spoken: it does not wish to be dropped.
