What's Dark Ambient?

Anything like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVvjXJentik or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMa5gz98iRU&feature=related? (Maybe they're not dark enough). I'm so confused on all these different genres, but Selected Ambient Works Vol. II is one of my favorite albums ever.
